Katie and Dean – Del Monte Historical Building Wedding, Sunnyvale

Katie grew up in Sunnyvale so naturally she wanted to get married locally in Sunnyvale. The chosen church, of course, was the church she has been attending since she was a child and they were married by a Pastor who had known her from she was really young. In other words, the ceremony was very intimate. What made even more special, her dad’s best-man at the Wedding was also there and on that night was their 30th anniversary. Dean’s family was from Texas and they were so friendly and ready to party. 🙂 The rest of the party came from different part of the US and UK.
For the lovely reception, they’ve chosen the Del Monte Historical Building in downtown Sunnyvale. One of my best friends were married there and guess what, I deejayed at their Wedding back in 2002. Yes, you’ve heard it right. This reception location was owned by the same company as Villa Ragusa in Campbell. Please contact the friendly Maria Slade for more info.

At every consultation I’ve had at my studio, I always suggest the Wedding couples to consider to meet before the Wedding. That way, they can see each other in private and share a moment alone before exchanging their Wedding bands. Katie and Dean decided to do so, and you can see how emotional they were just moments before they saw each other. As a photographer, I observed this wonderful moment unfold with my teary eyes and retreated to give them their precious time alone. I was on the stand by in the nearby Pastor’s office until they are ready to proceed. They exchanged presents for each other, a beautiful ring for Katie and a lovely watch for Dean. I might be wrong, but I don’t think they will ever forget how they’ve felt at that time everytime they look at these pictures. That’s the beauty of Photography.
